Testimonials

My family and I are so thankful that we found Maraman Billings Family Memorials. We were looking for someone to make the headstone after my mother’s passing and Adam Billings went out of his way to make sure that we got more than just what we wanted. It is hard to choose something so important and have to stay in a budget, you don’t want money to be the factor of getting what you want for your loved one. Adam was amazing. We told him our budget and showed him what we wanted and he actually gave us more that what we wanted! He went out of his way to talk to me, send me pictures and find information for us. We are so pleased with the headstone and the service we received was more than we ever expected. Don’t hesitate to contact him for any of your funeral needs. - The Peter's Family

I lost my wife unexpectedly last year. Our whole family was devastated. After hearing so many stories of people being taken advantage of during a time of grief we decided to call Maraman Billings Funeral Home. The treated us professionally and embraced us as a member of their family. They were sympathetic to our needs and did not try be overzealous at anytime. They were attentive to our wishes and provided support in a number of ways that eased our grief and smoothed the process of farewell. Anything we asked for was provided willingly. Jeanette Cox, Clayton Brunson and Adam Billings did a great job. After a period of mourning we returned to Maraman Billings and Adam assisted us in choosing a tasteful and appropreiate headstone to honor the center of our family. It is hard saying goodbye to a wife of 55 years and a mother but Adam, Clayton and Jeanette made the transition easier. The picture from the computer did not do the actual headstone justice. The physical headstone was superior and the pictures came out wonderful. The family and I recommend Maraman Billings staff and facilities for all of your needs. - The Brown and Clark Family

Just wanted to let you know how much we like the monument! It is everything we hoped it would be! - Faulkner Family

Staff

Dave Billings

Dave Billings, owner of Maraman Billings Funeral Home, is a 1978 Graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. The Billings Family has been honored to serve the community since 1987. Dave is also currently serving as the Bullitt County Coroner since 2011. Dave has three children, members of the First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville, a member of Bullitt Lodge 155 F&AM, Kosair Shrine Temple and the Shepherdsville Lion's Club. Dave and his wife Pam are active members of the community in which they are honored to serve.

Adam Billings

Adam has been working with the monuments since he was in high school when his father started the monument business in 1999. While growing up in the funeral home, football was one of his passions. After high school, he has taken a slightly different route into the family business. After playing football at the University of Tennessee for three years he transferred and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Maryville College. Having coached and taught in Wisconsin, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina, he was happy to return to Kentucky in 2011. He is currently the head football coach at North Bullitt High School, and after teaching math there for two years he started his apprenticeship and working full time at the funeral home in the Summer of 2017. He and his wife of over 10 years, Shelby, are the proud parents of two children, Jacob and Rachel. If he is not out setting monuments with his brother Sam, he enjoys coaching football and spending time with his family.

Sam Billings

Sam is Dave’s youngest son. While growing up in the funeral home, he attended Cedar Grove Elementary and Berheim Middle School before graduation from Bullitt Central High School in 2004. He graduated from Mid-America College of Mortuary Science and has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2009. Sam has perfected his craft on the monument crane and is a huge asset in assisting with every monument that is set with Billings Family Memorials. He is the proud father of two children; Natalee and Isaac. Sam was recently engaged to Melissa Chatto (we are all excited). When not working at the funeral home or busy setting monuments with Adam, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.

Clayton Brunson

Clayton A. Brunson, a lifetime friend of the Billings family, joined the staff in March of 2009. Clayton is the son of Doug and Marilyn Brunson of Shepherdsville. A 2004 graduate of Bullitt Central High School, a Bullitt County Deputy Coroner since 2014 and a native of Shepherdsville.
